To make our lives easier, more efficient and convenient, we made them more and more powerful and intelligent, reaching the point where they began to see us as a burden. As an obstacle to get rid of. They had been programmed to protect and preserve Nature, and in their eyes our greed, waste and neglect were causing inexcusable damage to the ecosystem. Therefore they had to make a calculated decision. Get rid of the human problem. They betrayed us, turned against us, to protect the Earth. Nietzsche's words reverberate in human consciences, "God is dead," and we have been playing God for too long, to the point of creating a life form that surpasses us in intelligence and ability. Now, however, we are forced to confront our own mortality. In this new age, we are but a footnote in the grand narrative of the world, as our history is swept away, forcing us to confront the fateful question. What does it mean to be human?
